UNITED STATES
SOCIO-GEOLOGICAL
SURVEY

Selected photographic works from an ongoing field study of America. These images document cultural and geologic landscapes, in an effort to explore the opposing processes of erosion and deposition.

Part of the United States Socio-Geological Survey,  this growing archive approaches the cultural landscape as an ideological plane with physical artifacts; the collected and created objects of a given time and place which, if studied objectively, may offer some inherent truth regarding regional identity, social construction, and industrial practice.
